Three Galaxies

The Three Galaxies Arcade has been haunted by a vengeful spirit, and it's causing strange things to happen to the machines. Now, the games themselves must fight back against the spirit! However, they're only capable of fighting within the confines of their own cabinets. And to make things worse, due to the spirit's meddling only one ship at a time is able to attack. Take control of three different starfighters and swap between them to shoot down enemies and dodge incoming attacks. Can the games work together to save the arcade?

Our team's entry to Bullet Hell Jam 2022. The theme for this jam was "confined". We hoped to explore this theme by limiting both the player's movement and the range of their attacks. The swap mechanic allows the player to wiggle out of a tough situation, but in the end they're only swapping one confinement for another.
